Business Development Lead

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑driven Business Development Lead to accelerate growth for a fast‑expanding Digital Transformation consultancy. Based in Leeds with occasional travel to London and client sites, you will shape new revenue streams across public and private sectors while helping to commercialise an internal training academy.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities, focusing on public sector contracts and government procurement routes.
• Develop and nurture strategic partnerships that expand the consultancy’s market reach.
• Lead the commercialisation of the organisation’s training academy, creating proposals and pricing models for external clients.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define market entry strategies and growth targets.
• Prepare compelling business proposals and presentations that align with client needs.

Required profile

• Proven track record in business development within Digital Transformation, technology or consultancy environments.
• Experience winning public sector and government contracts.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify new market opportunities.
• Self‑starter capable of operating independently and taking ownership of growth initiatives.
