Business Development Manager – Capital Markets & Finance

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives for our Capital Markets & Finance practice within a global law firm. You will partner with senior partners to shape market strategy, win new business and enhance our brand across international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute go‑to‑market and business development strategies for the practice.
• Lead high‑value pitches, proposals, panel appointments and client opportunities.
• Drive marketing campaigns, thought‑leadership pieces, events and client‑engagement initiatives.
• Manage legal directory and award submissions to raise market profile.
• Build strong relationships with partners and cross‑functional global teams.
• Analyse market trends, client opportunities and BD performance using CRM tools.
• Coach and mentor colleagues, promoting best practice across the BD function.
• Leverage AI and digital tools to improve efficiency and insight.

Required profile

• 5+ years of business development or marketing experience in a global professional services environment, preferably legal.
• Proven track record in pitches, client development, marketing campaigns and thought leadership.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing abilities.
• Commercial mindset with solid project‑management and analytical skills.
• Degree‑educated.
