Business Development Manager – Care Sector

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially‑driven Business Development Manager to join a growing organisation in the UK care sector. Based in Denton, Manchester, you will work full‑time to expand the company’s reach across care homes and NHS‑funded services, promoting solutions that improve resident wellbeing and support regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the UK care home sector.
• Conduct proactive outbound activities to generate qualified leads.
• Build and nurture relationships with care home owners, directors and managers.
• Promote NHS‑funded support services and additional care home solutions.
• Arrange face‑to‑face and virtual meetings with prospective customers.
• Maintain accurate records and manage the sales pipeline using CRM systems.
• Work towards agreed sales and business development targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maximise market opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, telesales, or healthcare sales.
• Strong track record of generating leads and securing appointments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior decision‑makers.
• Self‑motivated and results‑oriented with a commercial mindset.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM systems to track activities and opportunities.
• Ability to conduct outbound lead generation and appointment setting.

What we offer

• Basic salary of £30,000 per annum plus uncapped commission (OTE £40,000‑£45,000).
