Business Development Manager – Construction Sales

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Business Development Manager to join a fast‑growing construction‑focused business. The role combines sales, market analysis and client relationship management to drive new revenue streams and support the company’s growth ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse market trends and identify high‑potential construction clients.
• Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of prospects through lead qualification.
• Develop consultative relationships with clients, offering tailored advice on services.
• Identify and pursue upsell and cross‑sell opportunities within existing accounts.
• Conduct face‑to‑face meetings to strengthen rapport and close deals.
• Collaborate with the Managing Director on sales and marketing strategy.
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and generate regular activity reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the construction sector.
• Strong communication, presentation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent research skills with a knack for spotting business opportunities.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM software.
