Business Development Manager – Cyber Security (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business for a fast‑growing cyber security consultancy based in St Albans. The role is hybrid, offering the chance to build a sales pipeline from scratch and become a trusted advisor to senior IT leaders. You will work with experienced technical consultants and leading security vendors to deliver a portfolio of solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and qualify new business opportunities across the UK.
• Build relationships with CIOs, CISOs, IT Directors and other senior decision‑makers.
• Conduct discovery meetings to understand customer challenges and develop tailored proposals.
• Collaborate with technical specialists to create commercial proposals and negotiate contracts.
• Close new deals ranging from £20k to £750k and manage a healthy sales pipeline.
• Act as a trusted advisor, delivering ongoing cyber security guidance to clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of B2B technology sales experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and a proactive, hunter mentality.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and able to work independently.
