Business Development Manager - Defence Technology

About the role

Technical Futures Ltd is seeking a Business Development & Sales Manager to lead the full sales lifecycle for defence technology solutions. You will build trusted relationships with defence SMEs, military commands, government stakeholders and specialist technology partners across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategy and market development plans.
• Create and capture new business opportunities within the defence sector.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and close sales.
• Hand over successful projects to delivery teams and drive ongoing account growth.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of the UK defence ecosystem, including MOD, defence primes and collaborative bid environments.
• Proven track record in selling complex engineering, R&D, consultancy or capability‑led solutions in defence, security or aerospace.
• Ability to manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closure.
• Technical credibility supported by an engineering, science or electronics background.
• Strong presentation skills and confidence to engage at multiple organisational levels.
• Must be a British national.
