Business Development Manager – Ecommerce & Distribution

About the role

We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to join our fast‑growing ecommerce team. You will be responsible for expanding our cross‑border delivery services by acquiring new clients and nurturing existing relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and acquire new ecommerce clients across sectors such as retail, fashion, health & beauty and consumer goods.
• Develop and manage a robust pipeline from prospecting to contract closure.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations and commercial pitches tailored to client needs.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms in line with pricing and margin expectations.
• Meet and exceed revenue and new‑business targets.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with new and existing clients, acting as the main point of contact for strategic accounts.
• Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities and conduct regular client reviews.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to inform strategy.
• Provide regular reporting and forecasting to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales within ecommerce or distribution.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting revenue targets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams such as Operations, Marketing, IT and Finance.
• Self‑motivated and results‑driven.

Required skills

What we offer

• Base salary up to £75,000 depending on experience.
• Car allowance of £5,000.
• Commission scheme with OTE around £100,000 plus.
