Business Development Manager – Ecommerce/Distribution

About the role

We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to expand our client base within the ecommerce and cross‑border distribution sector. You will work closely with internal teams to deliver seamless solutions that help customers ship parcels internationally as easily as domestically.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and acquire new ecommerce clients across retail, fashion, health & beauty and consumer goods.
• Develop and manage a robust pipeline from prospecting to contract closure.
• Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, presentations and commercial pitches.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms in line with pricing and margin expectations.
• Achieve and exceed revenue and new‑business targets.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with new and existing clients, acting as the primary contact for strategic accounts.
• Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities and conduct regular client reviews.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to inform strategy.
• Provide regular reporting and forecasting to senior management.

Required profile

• Commercially minded with a proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within ecommerce or logistics.
• Strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Operations, Marketing, IT and Finance teams.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to manage a full sales cycle.

What we offer

• Base salary up to £75,000 depending on experience.
• £5,000 car allowance.
• Commission structure with OTE around £100,000+.
