Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding to expand our market presence across the South of England. You will represent a leading logistics provider, promoting road freight services and complementary solutions such as warehousing, customs support and e‑commerce fulfilment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a regional sales strategy to acquire new freight forwarding, warehousing and supply‑chain clients.
• Identify and engage prospects in key South West industries including manufacturing, retail and e‑commerce.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders from SMEs to large enterprises.
• Collaborate with operations, customs and commercial teams to deliver end‑to‑end transport solutions.
• Represent the company at networking events, trade shows and industry forums.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular pipeline and performance updates.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales success within logistics, freight or supply‑chain sectors.
• Strong knowledge of the South West business landscape and regional logistics challenges.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Self‑starter with a hunter mentality and a passion for delivering client value.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
