Business Development Manager

About the role

Clear Business is looking for a proactive Business Development Manager to drive new revenue across Exeter, Plymouth, Taunton, Swindon and Bristol. You will be the front‑line of our growth engine, turning cold calls into lasting partnerships and ensuring customers receive top‑class service from first contact to installation.

Key responsibilities

• Generate daily/weekly appointments through cold calling and prospect outreach.
• Maintain accurate records of appointments, pipeline activity and daily reporting.
• Follow the 360° sales process from initial contact through terminal installation and post‑sale satisfaction review.
• Travel to local businesses, build regional knowledge and nurture key client relationships.
• Attend quarterly training sessions and regional meetings as required.
• Provide specialist product knowledge and stay up‑to‑date with any changes.
• Collaborate with marketing to develop opportunities in target markets.

Required profile

• Proven track record in B2B field sales or a similar sales specialist role.
• Experience using diallers, lead management tools and CRM systems.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving organisation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to different audiences.
• Strong organisational habits, attention to detail and resilience under pressure.
• Motivated, self‑driven and able to learn from setbacks.
