Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join a leading media events, data and marketing business in London. The role is focused on selling sponsorship, data products and marketing solutions to a global client base, with deal values ranging from £5k to over £60k.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new sponsorship, data and marketing opportunities across the client portfolio.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders at client organisations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet client objectives.
• Achieve revenue targets and contribute to the company’s OTE of £45‑55k plus uncapped commission.
• Travel internationally (2‑4 trips per year) to key events in locations such as Bermuda, Vermont, Cayman Islands and Chicago.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in event sponsorship, exhibition sales, data sales or broader media/marketing solutions.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Highly organised with strong time‑management and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent emotional intelligence and relationship‑building capability.
• Consultative sales approach and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
