Business Development Manager – Lead Generation & Sales

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to lead lead generation and sales activities for a long‑established print, marketing and point‑of‑sale solutions provider. You will be at the front of the sales engine, identifying prospects, starting conversations and creating high‑quality opportunities that drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively identify and engage prospective clients across multiple sectors.
• Generate sales opportunities through outbound calls, email campaigns and LinkedIn networking.
• Build relationships with key decision‑makers and understand their marketing, print and retail display needs.
• Qualify opportunities and arrange meetings for the senior sales team.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline using the CRM system.
• Follow up on marketing campaigns and inbound enquiries.
• Research new markets, target accounts and commercial opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal creative, production and account‑management teams.
• Achieve individual KPIs and contribute to overall business growth.

Required profile

• Confident, curious and resilient with a passion for the sales chase.
• Proven experience in lead generation, business development, sales executive or internal sales roles.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging senior decision‑makers.
• Strong communication, relationship‑building and organisational skills.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to work to KPIs.

Required skills

• Experience using a CRM system.
