Business Development Manager – Logistics (West London)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business and grow existing accounts for a leading logistics company in West London. The role combines strategic prospecting, client relationship management, and revenue generation, offering a competitive salary, bonus, and a company car.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Expand revenue from existing customers by uncovering additional service needs.
• Make and attend a minimum of 40 client appointments per month (phone, email, face‑to‑face).
• Negotiate pricing and contracts, ensuring profitability.
• Maintain accurate client records and activity logs in the CRM system.
• Manage a robust sales pipeline and produce regular opportunity reports.
• Account‑manage new customers to secure long‑term retention.
• Conduct weekly debriefs with depot teams and present monthly/quarterly performance reviews to senior management.
• Achieve and exceed set KPIs and sales targets.

Required profile

• Proven track record in a target‑driven business development or sales role.
• Experience in logistics or a related industry is highly desirable.
• Strong educational background with good maths and English skills.
• Ability to present confidently to senior clients.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation abilities.
• Resilient, self‑motivated, and proactive with a passion for cold calling.
