Business Development Manager – London

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth and marketing initiatives for a leading international law firm in London. You will shape strategy, drive revenue, and build client relationships across multiple practice areas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to support practice and sector growth.
• Lead complex pitches, RFPs and client opportunities across jurisdictions.
• Manage key account planning, client development and relationship building.
• Oversee marketing campaigns, events, thought‑leadership and digital content.
• Coordinate legal directory and league‑table submissions (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500).
• Analyse market trends to identify new business opportunities.
• Mentor and develop the London business development team.
• Manage marketing budgets and measure ROI of BD initiatives.

Required profile

• 7+ years of business development or marketing experience in professional services, preferably legal.
• Proven track record of leading pitches, client development and strategic growth.
• Experience managing Chambers and Legal 500 submissions.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and coaching abilities.
• Commercially minded with excellent communication, analytical and project‑management skills.
