Business Development Manager – Multi-Modal Freight

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to join a growing freight forwarding company that specialises in multi‑modal solutions. You will drive new revenue by building relationships across air, sea and road freight services and expanding our footprint within existing accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across all multi‑modal freight channels.
• Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, managing long and complex sales cycles.
• Build and nurture long‑term client relationships to achieve repeat business.
• Meet and exceed defined sales targets and contribute to overall company growth.
• Collaborate with internal teams to tailor service offerings to client needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of business development experience within multi‑modal freight or logistics.
• Proven track record of sales success in freight forwarding.
• Stable and consistent work history.
• Independent, proactive and results‑driven attitude.
• Strong judgement and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication tailored to diverse client groups.
• Strong knowledge of sales techniques and managing extended sales cycles.
• Attention to detail with effective prioritisation.
