Business Development Manager – New Business (Field Based)

About the role

IPA Supplies is a fast‑growing provider of janitorial, catering and medical supplies. As a Business Development Manager you will focus 100% on new‑business acquisition, identifying prospects, opening doors and converting them into long‑term B2B customers across the North of England.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively identify and target high‑value prospective customers and tender opportunities.
• Generate your own pipeline, secure meetings with senior decision‑makers and manage opportunities from initial contact through negotiation to close.
• Develop compelling commercial proposals, negotiate pricing and commercial terms while protecting margins.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and build relationships with key stakeholders throughout the sales process.
• Collaborate with purchasing, operations and customer service teams on larger opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven track record of winning significant B2B new‑business deals.
• Strong commercial, negotiation and proposal‑writing skills.
• Ability to prospect independently, manage longer sales cycles and close complex deals.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and comfortable working with cold leads.
• Experience in janitorial, cleaning, catering, medical or facilities‑management supply sectors is a plus.
