Business Development Manager – New Business

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious, commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a respected organisation in a newly created role. You will focus on generating new business within the SaaS, HR technology and professional services sectors, engaging senior decision‑makers and shaping long‑term commercial partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively generate new business opportunities through targeted outreach, networking, referrals and strategic prospecting.
• Build and nurture relationships with senior HR, People, Talent and Learning & Development leaders.
• Identify organisational challenges and position tailored, solution‑led offerings that deliver measurable value.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement through negotiation, close and client onboarding.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure exceptional client outcomes.
• Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets and performance objectives.

Required profile

• Proven track record of winning new business in a SaaS, solutions‑based, consultancy or professional services environment.
• Experience selling into medium to large organisations with significant budgets and multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success influencing senior decision‑makers such as HR Directors, Chief People Officers and Learning & Development Directors.
• Self‑sufficient, proactive and resilient approach with strong commercial awareness.
