Business Development Manager – Occupational Health

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Executive to join our Leeds‑based occupational health and hygiene provider. The role focuses on generating new business, building relationships with decision‑makers and delivering tailored health and safety solutions across a range of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK through outbound activity, networking and market research.
• Build and maintain relationships with Health & Safety Managers, Operations Directors, Procurement teams and other key decision‑makers.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to proposal, negotiation and contract award.
• Collaborate with internal occupational health and hygiene specialists to design bespoke client solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and presentations and maintain an active sales pipeline in a CRM system.
• Meet and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs.
• Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions and networking opportunities.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, legislation and market developments.

Required profile

• Ambitious, self‑motivated and passionate about consultative business development.
• Proven experience in B2B sales, business development or account management.
• Track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
• Experience in occupational health, occupational hygiene, health & safety, compliance or related technical services is highly desirable.
