Business Development Manager – Plymouth

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to expand our client’s footprint in Plymouth. You will be responsible for generating new business, nurturing client relationships and delivering measurable sales results for a fast‑growing national organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and network within the assigned territory to identify new business opportunities.
• Meet potential clients face‑to‑face, understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to contract completion.
• Identify revenue‑maximising opportunities and achieve individual sales targets.
• Maintain accurate sales activity records and provide regular progress reports.
• Represent the company professionally and promote its products and services at all times.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, field sales or account management.
• Self‑motivated, confident and comfortable meeting new people.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Results‑driven with resilience to meet and exceed targets.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
• Positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for sales.
