Business Development Manager - Recruitment

About the role

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a results‑driven Business Development Manager to generate new recruitment business across the North West, Midlands and North Wales. This pure sales role focuses on prospecting, winning new clients and expanding our market share while being supported by an experienced delivery team.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach and convert new client opportunities in the temporary and permanent recruitment market.
• Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to signed agreements, negotiating optimal margins.
• Build and execute a targeted business development strategy for your region.
• Develop relationships with senior decision‑makers and hiring managers.
• Promote a strong personal brand on social media and LinkedIn.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure seamless handover and high‑quality service.

Required profile

• Proven success in new‑business sales within recruitment or B2B services.
• Track record of winning clients and generating revenue.
• Commercially astute, self‑motivated hunter mentality.
• Resilient and comfortable working in a target‑driven environment.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
