Business Development Manager – Retail Technology

About the role

This is a field‑based Business Development Manager position with a fast‑growing global technology company that helps retailers improve sustainability and customer engagement. You will be responsible for building a new sales team in the UK and driving growth across a defined territory.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own a sales territory, generating new business opportunities.
• Win new customers and nurture long‑term commercial relationships.
• Engage with convenience retailers, independent stores, symbol groups and forecourt operators.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing.
• Become a product expert and demonstrate the commercial value of the technology.
• Contribute to the overall UK growth strategy of the company.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a field‑based Business Development, Area Sales or Territory Sales role.
• Track record of winning new business and developing customer relationships.
• Experience selling to convenience, independent retail, symbol groups or forecourt operators is advantageous.
• Consultative sales approach with strong relationship‑building skills.
