Business Development Manager – Roofing Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead field‑sales activities for specialist roofing services across the South of England. You will promote roof refurbishment, asset‑management and preventative‑maintenance solutions to large‑scale commercial, industrial and public‑sector clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage building surveyors, facilities managers and procurement leaders in target organisations.
• Sell full‑service roofing contracts, including metal cladding, flat‑roofing and liquid‑applied systems, on projects ranging from £30k to over £1m.
• Develop a pipeline of new business to achieve an annual revenue target of approximately £2 million.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients while pursuing leads generated by manufacturers.
• Collaborate with FM service providers and internal estimating teams to deliver complete solutions.

Required profile

• Proven field‑sales track record within the roofing or waterproofing sector.
• Experience selling to blue‑chip companies or large‑scale infrastructure clients.
• Ability to navigate complex procurement processes and close high‑value contracts.
• Self‑motivated, pragmatic approach with a focus on new‑business generation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of liquid‑applied roofing, flat‑roofing systems and metal cladding.
• Understanding of technical drawings and basic design/estimating concepts.

What we offer

• Base salary £55,000‑£65,000 per annum plus commission (potential guarantee in year 1).
