Business Development Manager – Utilities Sector

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth for a national utilities infrastructure business across London and the South East. You will manage existing client relationships and generate new opportunities within the UK utilities sector, covering water, gas, electricity, fibre and heating projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow accounts with housebuilders, property developers and public sector organisations.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, preparing and submitting tenders for utility projects.
• Conduct outreach via phone, Teams meetings and face‑to‑face visits.
• Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions and industry events.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales or business development experience in the UK utilities sector.
• Strong understanding of utility services (water, gas, electricity, fibre, heating).
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London and the South East.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
