Business Development Representative (Hybrid)

About the role
We are delighted to be supporting the appointment of a proactive and ambitious Business Development Representative to join a growing specialist business change consultancy. This customer‑focused role centres on generating qualified opportunities, opening conversations with senior stakeholders, and supporting growth across public and private sector organisations.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and research target organisations across agreed sectors and markets.
- Build prospect lists and map key decision‑makers and influencers within target accounts.
- Execute multi‑channel outreach campaigns via phone, email and LinkedIn.
- Generate and qualify meetings for senior consultants and commercial leaders.
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities and monitor transformation programmes.
- Develop insight‑led prospecting campaigns based on customer challenges.
- Support strategic account planning through market research and stakeholder intelligence.
- Follow up inbound enquiries, marketing leads, webinar attendees and event participants.
- Nurture early‑stage prospects through the sales cycle until ready for commercial engagement.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, activity tracking and opportunity management.
Required profile
- 1‑3 years’ experience in a BDR, SDR, lead generation or business development role.
- Experience within an IT consultancy, SaaS, MSP or broader technology services environment.
- Proven outbound prospecting and new‑business activity.
- Confidence engaging with senior business stakeholders and decision‑makers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Resilient, proactive and self‑motivated.
- Comfortable using CRM systems to manage activity and opportunities.
