Business Development Representative

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity with a fast‑growing AI technology startup that is modernising a traditional UK industry through automation and workflow solutions. As a Business Development Representative you will work closely with the founders to generate new business, shape the sales process and build a pipeline that drives growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect new customers across the UK via cold calling, email outreach and LinkedIn.
• Book qualified meetings and product demos for the wider sales team.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through consistent outbound activity.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to refine outreach strategies.
• Collect market feedback and customer insights to improve messaging and positioning.
• Keep CRM records accurate and up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a BDR, SDR or similar outbound sales role.
• Comfortable with high‑volume cold calling and prospecting.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Resilient, self‑motivated and target‑driven.
• Commercially minded with a genuine interest in technology and innovation.
• Enthusiastic about working in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Required skills

What we offer

• Base salary of £35,000‑£45,000 per year.
• Uncapped commission with realistic OTE of around £90,000.
