Business Development Sales Executive

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Sales Executive to join our fast‑growing, world‑leading provider of psychometric and competency tools. Based in our Reading office, you will own the full sales cycle – from prospecting to closing – and help organisations of any size unlock value through our innovative products.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new leads through cold calling, referrals, events and LinkedIn networking.
• Nurture opportunities with timely follow‑ups, discovery meetings and tailored proposals.
• Manage the end‑to‑end sales process: prospecting, pitching, negotiating and closing.
• Present solutions confidently, aligning our tools to client needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to share leads, coordinate delivery and win new business.
• Expand market reach by attending conferences and exploring new sectors.
• Capture lead data, report progress and provide feedback to management.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or equivalent work experience.
• Strong commercial acumen with a client‑first mindset.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to think outside the box.
• Consultative selling approach and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a learning‑focused environment.

Required skills

• Cold calling and new‑business generation.
• LinkedIn networking for lead generation.
• Experience with sales prospecting tools such as Sales Prospector and ZoomInfo.

What we offer

• Base salary £35,000 with OTE up to £58,000 plus uncapped commission.
