Business Growth Manager – Innovation Hub (Part‑time)

About the role

Oxford Innovation Space is seeking a Business Growth Manager to support the development of SMEs within its new Innovation Hub in Workington. This part‑time position (22.5 hrs per week) focuses on delivering strategic business support, building a robust sales pipeline, and fostering a vibrant community of innovators.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality strategic advice and innovation support to resident businesses.
• Collaborate with the Centre Director to attract innovation‑driven enterprises and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
• Design and run events, workshops, and community‑engagement activities.
• Develop relationships with local stakeholders, including Cumberland Council, universities, and business support networks.
• Measure impact, track customer progress, and contribute to stakeholder reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting SMEs in a commercial or innovation environment.
• Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Understanding of economic development and the role of innovation centres.
• Experience in account management, strategic partnerships, and community development.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for helping businesses grow.
