Business Lecturer / Teacher (Part‑time, Grade 5)

About the role

HSDC is looking for a motivated Lecturer/Teacher of Business to deliver high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment for Level 2 and 3 OCR Cambridge Technical Business courses. The role is permanent, part‑time and focuses on inspiring students across a range of business topics.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons, tutorials and assessments for Level 2/3 Business modules.
• Monitor and record student progress using college information systems.
• Prepare schemes of work, learning plans and maintain accurate teaching records.
• Participate in parents’ evenings, marketing events and promotional activities.

Required profile

• Level 5 or equivalent teaching qualification (e.g., Certificate in Education, PGCE) or willingness to work towards it.
• High level of specialist knowledge in business subjects such as HR, Marketing, Financial Forecasting, Business Ethics, etc.
• At least two years’ experience teaching business topics (desirable).
• Relevant degree in a business‑related discipline (desirable).

Required skills

• Ability to design and deliver curriculum for OCR Cambridge Technical Business.
• Proficiency with college information and assessment systems.
• Strong organisational and record‑keeping skills.
