Business Operations Placement – 13‑Month Internship

About the role

We have an exciting internship opportunity within our Business Operations Team to gain hands‑on experience in resource planning at Space Digital UK level. The role will interface directly with Business Winning and Delivery teams, helping to monitor and control staffing demand across Research & Development, Business Winning and Project/Service Delivery activities.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and adjust resource‑planning projections to support operational planning between Business Winning, Delivery and Functional teams.
• Assist the Strategic Planning Team by creating customised scenario plans and maintaining regular dialogue on evolving resource plans.
• Interact with a variety of off‑the‑shelf and bespoke tools to ensure accurate data recording and reporting.
• Supply project‑history research and analysis to support operational planning and recommend enhancements to reports and models.
• Support governance, business continuity management and transformation initiatives across the organisation.

Required profile

• Currently studying a Business undergraduate degree and will remain an undergraduate for the full 13‑month placement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in an open, collaborative environment and make evidence‑based decisions.
• Good organisational skills and an interest in finding creative solutions to complex problems.

What we offer

• Salary of £24,500 per year.
• 37‑hour work week with flexible hours and hybrid working options.
• Half‑day Fridays and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
