Business Studies Teacher (GCSE) – Pupil Referral Unit

About the role

A Pupil Referral Unit in Redbridge is seeking an enthusiastic Business Studies Teacher to deliver GCSE Business Studies from September 2026. The role focuses on supporting students who need additional social, emotional and behavioural assistance to succeed in education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging GCSE Business Studies lessons.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students with additional support requirements.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence and personal growth.
• Monitor student progress and contribute to intervention and support plans.
• Collaborate with the leadership team and fellow staff to enhance the provision for alternative education.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Business Studies at GCSE level.
• Ability to teach at least one additional subject, determined by experience and specialism.
• Strong classroom management and relationship‑building skills.
• Commitment to supporting learners in an alternative provision setting.
