Business Tax Manager / Senior Manager

About the role

The Business Tax Manager / Senior Manager will lead a portfolio of business tax clients, delivering compliance and advisory services for owner‑managed companies and larger international groups across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of business tax clients, ensuring compliance deadlines are met and building strong relationships.
• Deliver tax advice and advisory projects in collaboration with other Menzies tax teams and service lines.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and introduce specialist services across the firm.
• Advise on succession planning, remuneration, capital allowances and equity incentive schemes such as EMI.
• Train, mentor and support junior members of the Business Tax team.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant and/or CIOT‑qualified tax adviser with at least one year post‑qualification experience.
• Experience managing corporate and entrepreneurial clients at assistant‑manager or manager level.
• Good knowledge of UK corporate tax, business asset disposal relief and related tax issues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using databases; familiarity with alphatax is a plus.
