Business Technology Risk Advisor, Managing Director

About the role

State Street Global Technology Services is seeking a Business Technology Risk Advisor at Managing Director level to partner with CTO and technology infrastructure leaders. You will help identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks while supporting the firm’s digital transformation and regulatory objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic technology risk advisory to CTO and senior leadership.
• Lead risk reduction and control‑enhancement initiatives across the technology organisation.
• Drive process improvements to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop and use metrics and management information for decision‑making.
• Collaborate with second‑ and third‑line risk functions to align risk management objectives.
• Support regulatory, audit, and governance activities for technology.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in technology risk management, controls, audit or operational risk.
• Strong background in IT asset management, database and open‑systems management.
• Proven leadership of large‑scale risk and transformation programmes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills.
• Ability to influence senior executives and drive execution in complex organisations.
