Buyer – Construction Procurement

About the role

Join a fast‑growing residential developer as a Buyer, working on a mix of new homes and care‑home projects. You will receive full training, enjoy autonomy, and have the chance to develop a commercial skill set that bridges procurement and quantity surveying.

Key responsibilities

• Procure subcontractors, materials and services for construction projects.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate competitive rates.
• Support tenders, contracts, purchase orders, valuations and variations.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and procurement schedules.
• Assist the Commercial Manager in commercial management from tender to completion.
• Attend regular site visits to track progress and upcoming material requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in buying, procurement or quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction products and procurement processes.
• Confident communication with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Proactive, adaptable and eager to learn.

• Salary £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience.
