Buyer – Procurement & Supply Chain (Hybrid, London)

About the role

Rendesco, the UK’s leading heat‑pump and heat‑network business, is seeking a proactive Buyer to support its fast‑growing construction projects. Working in a hybrid model (two days in the London office, three days remote), you will manage procurement and supply‑chain activities to ensure materials, plant and equipment are sourced efficiently, cost‑effectively and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Procure materials, plant and equipment in line with project schedules.
• Review take‑offs and collaborate with Projects and Installations teams to confirm accurate purchasing.
• Obtain, assess and negotiate supplier quotations against agreed rates and contracts.
• Build strong supplier relationships, manage tenders, framework agreements and monitor performance.
• Coordinate logistics and site deliveries to keep projects on track.
• Raise purchase orders, maintain procurement systems and support budget reporting.
• Provide pricing feedback to Sales teams and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Required profile

• Proven procurement or supply‑chain experience within construction or a related sector.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confident negotiator with excellent relationship‑building abilities.
• Commercially minded, proactive and solutions‑focused.
• Effective communicator able to work collaboratively across teams.
