Buyer – Procurement & Supply Chain

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Buyer to join a fast‑paced manufacturing and supply‑chain environment. The role will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and purchasing materials and services that support operational delivery, cost control and supplier performance.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and manage purchase orders end‑to‑end using an ERP system, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Maintain high‑quality procurement data such as lead times, minimum order quantities and open orders.
• Develop and sustain strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance, risk, cost, quality and delivery.
• Support inventory planning and purchasing strategies to balance availability with stock control.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse, planning, engineering and supply‑chain teams.
• Track KPIs and conduct supplier performance reviews to drive operational excellence.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in direct or indirect procurement.
• Background in a manufacturing or regulated environment, preferably electronics.
• Commercially aware, analytical and detail‑oriented with strong negotiation abilities.
• Resilient, organised and eager to develop within a growing business.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.
• Advanced Excel and Office 365 skills.
