C++ Developer – Quant‑Driven Market‑Maker (London)

About the role

This position offers a proactive engineer the chance to join an award‑winning algorithmic trading firm in London. You will work on the research cluster, one of the largest globally, building high‑performance C++ software that powers a multi‑billion‑dollar daily trading system. The role provides significant autonomy to meet business needs using the tools and methods you deem best.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core C++ components of the exchange‑trading platform.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers to translate models into high‑performance code.
• Optimise software for Linux servers, addressing caching, paging and system‑call efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the research cluster.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of modern C++ (C++11 and later).
• Deep understanding of low‑level computer behaviour such as caching, paging and system calls.
• Familiarity with common algorithms and data‑structure performance trade‑offs.
• Ability to design and implement complex software systems independently.
• Experience with Linux environments is a plus.
