C++ Engineer – High‑Frequency Trading Platform

About the role

We are seeking a C++ Engineer to join the core platform team of a leading high‑frequency trading fund in London. You will design, develop and maintain the algorithmic trading platform, working closely with quantitative analysts and traders to deliver high‑performance, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core C++ functionality for the trading platform.
• Develop and optimise multi‑tiered, low‑latency applications and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with quants and traders to translate trading strategies into robust software.
• Own multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high code quality and performance.
• Maintain and support cross‑platform, multithreaded systems on Linux.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional C++ development experience on Linux.
• Strong background in object‑oriented design and multithreaded programming.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (minimum 2.1 GPA).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Financial industry experience is a plus but not mandatory.
