C++ Software Developer – Milton Keynes

About the role

Synertec is looking for a motivated C++ Software Developer to join its Research and Development team in Milton Keynes. You will start by working on internal tools, web‑based products and APIs, gaining exposure to a range of technologies while contributing to the delivery of high‑quality software solutions for public and commercial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain C++ applications in line with specifications.
• Build and release updates for internal tools, web‑based products and APIs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.
• Progressively expand involvement to include C#, MFC.Net Framework and DevOps practices.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of commercial software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and a passion for writing clean, efficient code.
• Willingness to learn new languages and technologies such as C#, MFC and DevOps tools.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality software on schedule.
