C++ Software Developer (UKIC DV Clearance)

About the role

We are seeking a talented C++ Software Developer to join our engineering team in Cheltenham. You will work on secure, high‑performance software solutions for Linux environments, collaborating closely with engineers and customers. This role offers the chance to tackle technically challenging projects using modern development tools and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C++ applications within Linux environments.
• Debug, profile and optimise software using tools such as Valgrind.
• Analyse network traffic, protocols and packet flows.
• Work with Docker, Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to software quality and security.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust technical solutions.

Required profile

• Active UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
• At least 18 months of commercial C++ development experience.
• Experience developing within Linux environments.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of networking concepts and version control (Git).
