About the role
Join a leading quantitative trading firm in London to design and build the next generation of high‑performance trading and research infrastructure. You will work in a collaborative engineering environment where technology drives the business, partnering closely with traders, quantitative researchers and infrastructure specialists.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and optimise low‑latency trading, market‑data and order‑execution systems across multiple asset classes.
- Design resilient, fault‑tolerant software for demanding production environments.
- Profile, tune and debug performance‑critical applications to maximise latency and throughput.
- Contribute to large‑scale infrastructure that supports research, simulation and live trading.
- Collaborate with hardware, networking and software experts to unlock stack‑wide performance gains.
- Influence architectural decisions and promote engineering best practices.
Required profile
- Commercial experience developing production software in modern C++.
- Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures and software design principles.
- Experience with performance‑sensitive, low‑latency systems.
- Deep knowledge of Linux/UNIX environments and operating‑system concepts.
- Excellent debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
