Cable Jointer – Hertfordshire

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cable Jointer to join our team in Hertfordshire, delivering low‑voltage (LV) jointing services across the local electricity network. The role involves both planned and rapid‑response work, ensuring installations meet the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out LV and HV jointing, cabling and excavation tasks on a pre‑planned and emergency basis.
• Interpret work plans, drawings and DNO/IDNO codes of practice to execute jointing works safely.
• Perform risk assessments and adhere to all health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Maintain a tidy jointing van, replenish consumables and accurately record work details.
• Promote a strong safety culture and act as a safety ambassador on site.

Required profile

• Motivated, hard‑working individual with a background in HV/LV jointing.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project priorities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to convey technical information clearly.
• Full UK driving licence.
