Cable Jointing Instructor (Full Training Provided)

About the role

This position offers a transition from field work to a structured training career, delivering cable jointing education to the next generation of power engineers. You will work for a leading UK technical training provider, supporting learners across low‑voltage (LV) and 11kV cable jointing programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver training on LV and 11kV cable jointing techniques.
• Support technical certification pathways within power engineering.
• Assess learners against NVQ, Diploma and End‑Point Assessment standards.
• Design and develop training materials and course packages.
• Provide compliance and safety training related to electricity distribution.
• Guide learners throughout their training and assessment journey.
• Maintain training equipment to meet industry standards.
• Travel to customer sites and training locations as required.

Required profile

• Background in electricity distribution, transmission or cable jointing.
• Minimum five years’ experience in cable jointing activities.
• Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject (City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Strong practical knowledge of LV jointing work.
• Enthusiasm for supporting others and communicating technical information.
