Cabling Engineer – Shift (London)

About the role

Join a leading data‑centre operator as a Shift Cabling Engineer in East London. You will work on high‑value projects, installing and maintaining fibre and copper infrastructure while following a 4‑on/4‑off shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Install, prepare, splice and test single‑mode and multimode optical fibre.
• Terminate copper cabling, perform fault‑finding and certify all cable types.
• Label and document cable runs according to industry standards.
• Operate testing equipment such as OTDR and Fluke meters.
• Work 12‑hour day/night shifts on a rotating schedule.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fusion splicing, copper termination and cable testing.
• Previous work in the telecommunications or data‑centre environment.
• Relevant City & Guilds qualification.
