CAD Engineer

About the role

Veolia is seeking a CAD Engineer to join its Technical Direction Water Engineering team. You will translate conceptual designs into detailed CAD drawings for water and wastewater treatment projects, supporting a sustainable future.

Key responsibilities

• Translate and develop conceptual designs into CAD drawings (GA's, planning, 3D arrangements, layout, setting out, SLD's, PFD, P&ID) for water and wastewater treatment infrastructure.
• Produce bill of materials (BOM) listings to support specifications, calculations and component selection.
• Ensure conceptual design and tender documents meet project timescales and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to create, update and manage BIM models in line with industry standards.
• Utilise a Common Data Environment (CDE) for accurate data management, version control and efficient collaboration.
• Provide consultative design support and, when required, assist during installation and construction phases.
• Prepare project‑specific installation specifications and 2D/3D drawings to obtain competitive quotations from M&E contractors.

Required profile

• Proven experience creating CAD drawings for water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Ability to produce accurate BOMs and support tender preparation.
• Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and CDE workflows.
