CAD Technician (3D Modelling)

About the role

We are seeking a CAD Technician with strong 3D modelling experience to join a world‑leading manufacturer at its new Leeds facility. You will work alongside a highly‑skilled engineering team, creating detailed technical drawings and bills of materials for bespoke, solutions‑based products.

Key responsibilities

• Produce 3D models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks.
• Generate accurate bills of materials (BOMs) for one‑off projects.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop and refine product designs.
• Maintain documentation and ensure drawings meet industry standards.
• Support succession planning by sharing knowledge with junior team members.

Required profile

• Experience as a draughtsperson or CAD technician with a focus on 3D modelling.
• Background in the electronics industry is desirable.
• Motivation to become a subject‑matter expert and progress technical skills.

Required skills

• SolidWorks proficiency.
• Electronics design knowledge.
