CAD Technician – Architectural Metalwork

About the role
We are seeking a CAD Technician to join a fast‑growing architectural metalwork fabrication company. The role is office‑based in Durham and offers flexible working hours while you create detailed designs for high‑profile commercial, residential and industrial steelwork projects.
Key responsibilities
- Produce 2D technical designs and drawings for architectural steelwork projects.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and project teams to ensure design accuracy.
- Support the delivery of projects for schools, housing developers and other clients.
Required profile
- Previous experience in architectural metalwork design.
- Proficiency with 2D CAD software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality output.
