CAD Technician – Joinery (Leeds)

About the role

We are seeking a CAD Technician with a joinery or woodworking background to join a family‑run manufacturer in Morley, Leeds. You will create production‑ready 2D drawings for bespoke joinery projects and work closely with senior staff, directors, and workshop teams from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Produce 2D AutoCAD drawings for bespoke joinery, furniture and cabinetry projects.
• Generate shop, manufacturing and assembly drawings, as well as cutting lists and material schedules.
• Translate client sketches, architectural plans and design briefs into detailed production documentation.
• Liaise with workshop, production, project and installation teams to ensure design intent is met.
• Collaborate with directors and senior staff, with a clear pathway toward a management role.

Required profile

• Experience as a CAD Technician, draughtsperson or technical designer in joinery, woodworking, furniture, cabinetry, shop‑fitting or commercial interiors.
• Desire for long‑term progression into senior technical or managerial responsibilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD or comparable 2D CAD software.
• Ability to produce accurate manufacturing and assembly drawings.
