CAD Technician – Path to Project Manager

About the role
We are seeking a CAD Technician/Architectural Designer to join a fast‑growing specialist in bespoke architectural metalwork. The role offers a clear progression route to a Project Manager position, combining design work with project lifecycle responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop bespoke architectural metalwork products using CAD software.
- Manage designs from initial concept through to manufacturing.
- Liaise with architects, contractors, fabricators and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with structural, safety and building regulations.
- Assist in preparing quotations, design proposals and maintain accurate technical documentation.
Required profile
- Background in fabrication, manufacturing, construction, glazing or cladding.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Previous experience as a CAD Technician or Architectural Designer.
- Motivation to develop into a Project Manager role.
