Calibration Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Calibration Engineer to join a global medical device company’s technical team in Witney. The role focuses on maintaining the highest levels of measurement accuracy and regulatory compliance across sophisticated test equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform expert-level calibration, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs on advanced measurement and test instrumentation.
• Execute metrology procedures to validate equipment reliability against international and internal benchmarks.
• Manage calibration records, certificates of conformance, and documentation of all activities.
• Diagnose measurement discrepancies and implement corrective actions to ensure instrument integrity.
• Collaborate with quality assurance leadership to uphold stringent industry standards.
• Oversee laboratory operations, including primary reference standards and calibration inventory.

Required profile

• Professional background in an advanced calibration or metrology environment.
• Experience handling high‑precision instrumentation and complex measurement diagnostics.
• Strong understanding of measurement uncertainty, metrological traceability, and statistical process control.
• Exceptional analytical ability and dedication to systematic reporting and data integrity.
