Campus Security Officer

About the role

The Campus Security Officer is the first point of response for safety, security and wellbeing incidents across Manchester Metropolitan University. You will work within a professional, customer‑focused security service that operates 24/7, supporting students, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol assigned campus areas and respond promptly to incidents.
• Provide first‑aid, emergency assistance and welfare support.
• Investigate incidents, write clear reports and follow up on outcomes.
• Carry out building lock‑up and unlock procedures.
• Support major university events and collaborate with colleagues and external agencies.
